Restoration work on Silvia Cristina has already begun…

The Silvia Cristina is a 4.40 m long dorna built by Ayaso in 1997. This boat was donated by an individual to our Mar de Muros association in 2014. Since then and until 2019 it has been sailing the Ría de Muros, until that, when making water, we had to carry it ashore. And there she was, with bad weather (our association does not have a covered place to work on the boats), and due to lack of sufficient funding to be able to do a complete repair, which took years…; until the Centro de Formación A Aixola, in Marín, agreed to use this unique boat (registered in the Census of Traditional Boats of Galicia), in its Wood Boat Restoration Course, for which we are extremely grateful…
